Just curious - why Cleveland? Great chips but how did you arrive at those? Would help in advising you, thanks!

Welcome, @JesseEkstrom789 . That was my first set too. Great chips.

IIRC I’ve seen the 1s and 5s around 0.80 / chip? 25s around 1.10 / chip? Fracs will run you more usually since they’re custom and infrequently pop up.

Best bet is to always do a quick search of current/old sales threads in the classifieds to get a better idea.

I originally planned for a small set and look what happened. Enjoy the slippery slope and watch out for your wallet! ;)

"starting a collecting"?

Normally people either buy a set to play with, or collect singles, or both......Most people don't buy 500 from one casino to 'collect.'

They're a buck apiece until you get to the 100$ and higher.....
What's your REAL intention here?

No more than $400, if you're getting primary (casino used) chips in lower cash denominations. And I think that's high. I'd feel better at $350. Maybe $300 with the world going to shit.

Cleveland's were my first set, and they're awesome. If you get a set that hasn't been cleaned, I highly suggest cleaning and oiling. Really makes them pop and it's a fun learning exercise for used paulsons.

I love Cleveland’s. You can usually find reasonable prices in the classifieds. If you are patient you can build a decent set in time.

I’ve since added 2 more racks of 5’s. Good luck in your searching.

If you like the Cincinnati chips I believe The Chip Exchange (vendor here) still has
inventory of both casino used and uncirculated mint (except for 1’s). I put this set together for less than $700. I may list soon to fund other projects.

200 x used 1’s
200 x mint 5’s
80 x mint 25’s
20 x mint 100’s

I think it will cost you between 400-800, depending on the denominations you use (bigger denominations cost more) and if they are primaries or secondaries. I love those chips, prefer Cleveland over Cincinnati.
