Tourney How many Casino Royale plaques do I need? (1 Viewer)

@Phantom has graciously offered to help me design and order some Casino Royale plaques to go with the set I purchased from @detroitdad. Since my chips end at 100k, we were thinking of going with 500k and 1M plaques.

Here is the breakdown for the chips. Most of my tournaments will probably not use the plaques but it would be nice to have a high denom game once in a while.

The current plaque designs by @Phantom are in 1M and 2M denoms

My current thoughts are to have a smaller, red 500k plaque and a larger white 1M plaque.

I would love feedback on my color choices and also some estimates of how many plaques I'll be needed. While I purchased a 20 player set of chips I don't anticipate hosting more than an 8 person tourney.

Post the breakdowns and starting stacks etc. and that may help. I think keeping the size and colours the same is a good idea .

I used an old CD case. OWS carries plaque cases I believe

I'm not saying it's impossible or even difficult. Just consider it.

It can affect how many you buy of each size. Or, if you put them in one case, you may want them all the same size.

If you post the chip breakdown and desired starting stacks, @BGinGA might have some time after the DCS to help you out mate. It could be that you only need 2 or 3 of each per player. Perhaps 20 x 500K and 10-15 x 2M could see you right, but your breakdown and starting amounts (plus 'colour-ups') could indicate more 500K are required . Let us know, with more pics as well .

500s and 1ks will probably not be used when using plaques.

He ran a 20 player tourney with this and his starting stacks were:

10 x 500
10 x 1k
12 x 5k
1 x 25k


For my larger denom 6-player tourney I would maybe run:

10x 5k
8x 25k
5x 100k
2x 500k plaque

for T1,750,000 with blinds starting at 5k/10k

With this setup I would need maybe 15 500k plaques (12 to start and 3 more for color ups) and 10 2mil plaques (this allows for 6 rebuys plus color ups if necessary).
