How is the rake structure where you play? (1 Viewer)

Damn that's insanely low if that's only when you play. How are they paying dealers, overhead, etc with that? What kind of stakes/number of players come out.

1/2 NLHE and one table of Big-O, maybe two 2/5 tables will run on a busy night. They also have a daily tourney. I don't think dealers are paid actually, they work off of tips. At the start of their shift, they have to play at least one hand and then they put on a "player" lanyard to show that they played. Any player can also choose to deal the hand when they are on the button, which rarely rarely happens. We can't tip them chips either, it has to be cash. They also have an hourly break where you can chip-down (legally go south) and trade chips for dollars for tips...technically the games are 1 hr shootout tournaments. It's a bunch of weird rules to skirt around the laws, but the room and staff are really nice.

Super interesting. Sucks that places have to create weird processes and rules to actually legally host a game. On the other hand its cool that they go to such lengths. Thanks for sharing.
