how difficult is it when you Play cash game 0.50/1 with 3 Chips (yellow, blue, red) and no denominion on it?

In my opinion it should work but have you made any other experience?

Depending on how many chips you have, 3 denoms if enough for just about any cash game. However, if you don't have a ton of chips, I might consider making it 1/1 and using the three denoms as 1, 5, 20/25 to stretch the bank a bit.

As for the lack of denoms on the chips, as @derekdd23 said, it probably depends on how much you guys are drinking :)

The more different NCV chips there are, the more difficult it will be for people to keep them straight. I think your plan to use three denominations is wise.

Its fine, but I way prefer denoms. Simpler after a couple of bottles of whiskey, and plus it makes the chips feel like they have real value IMO. I've had both and love denoms without a doubt. I will never go back.

Always play cash games with dice chips this way. We have like 4 sets we take to the game and just combine them to have enough chips. Of course the chips suck, but it usually takes about 10 hands and everyone knows what chips are what. Also make sure the denominations are selected correctly. I have played some games where they play fe .25/.50 and they have a .25 denom and a .50 denom and a 1 and 5. In this sense it gets confusing and annoying.

Edit: Even as people get so drunk it takes them 10 mins to play a hand with 5% equity, we still don't normally have too many denomination problems.

A lot depends on the intelligence of your players. From a strictly profit-motivated point of view, dumber is better.

That's why my long-running DC home game always allowed one or two political conservatives into the game each week.

Not a problem at all. My buddy's been running a .25/.50 game for years with a set just like this. Quarters, Dollars, Fives, and twenty-fives, and nobody's ever had a problem remembering.
Part of it is that you're constantly blinding with one color and you have a big stack of another color so those are your ones. If you're lucky enough to have a few fives, you know it. And whenever a blue 25 comes out on the table, everybody knows it.
Of course denominations are better. But with a game like this, there's no need for a color conversion wall chart.
