I have been gathering chips over the last few months to put together a house mold mixed set. I have gone back and forth a lot between my options for fracs. At this point, I'm planning on the following:

  • 5c - Golden Nugget Lake Charles $1 (inlays replaced and relabeled as GN Las Vegas)
  • 25c - MGM Grande Detroit 25c
  • $1 - Caesar's Palace $1
  • $5 - Stardust Poker Mansion T100 (inlays replaced and relabeled as SD Las Vegas)
The Golden Nugget $1 chips are oversized (slightly) so I wasn't sure if they would work as inlay replacements. I have read several posts saying that inlay replacements don't work well for oversized chips. However, after replacing a chip with a stardust label, it looks good to me. Does anybody have success stories relabeling oversized chips? Do I have to worry about the stickers peeling over time?

I was considering the Luxor $1 chip as a frac as it has similar colors to the GN $1. However, I'm not a fan of any of the Luxor logos.

I apologize for the picture quality.

Nice set! The oversized-inlay sample looks pretty good to me. It may not be considered ideal, but if you like it, then it's good. BTW, @Gear has the artwork for Golden Nugget. Chris made excellent fracs out of live $1's for me recently. Mixed house mold set, my personal favorite way to play poker.
