Hi,

I really like hot stamp chips and certainly see a set for me in the future. In the meantime, while I'm trying to figure out what I want/like, I would like to get some sample sets to understand the differences between the different manufacturers ect. Not to mention start a collection :)

I am interested in most anything Paulson, BCC, TRK, and vintage(for collection or build set). Just as long as there are chips available to put together a decent set. I'd be curious in one CPC sample set, but not sure they are right for me.

I currently live in Switzerland, and have that address for anyone over here. I also have a conus address to keep it easy(and cheaper for me) for those in the states.

Thank you!
Jon

Get a sample set of Atlantic club.
You won’t be disappointed and CPC still has them new in the colors and breakdown you choose.
I also love hot stamps, they are what got me in this hobby.
I have a set of Aztar Paulson hot stamps and they rock!

good luck and be careful of the 36mm sets from Cincinnati, not that they are no good but they are just a hair smaller and that bugs some people. Wouldn’t bug me. I like them.

Check out the Paulson Private Cardroom set - probably one the nicest hotstamped sets

Hi ParrotheadMZ,

These are on my radar, but am I understanding correctly that the CPC's are a little larger than 39mm and difficult to get racks?

Thanks for the Cinci heads up, I have seen that they are smaller, and dont think I'll like that, but that opinion comes without seeing or feeling them.

Yup, those are beauties for sure. These along with the Private Cardroom's are on the short list for sets for me. I see that he has both sample sets, but from what I am finding are priced where I think I can wait to see if something else comes along. I am in no rush, and have modest-ish budget.

Thanks for the info and the pics

I’ve never heard of that but they do sell racks they will fit in.
they will definitely be best bang for the buck and they are great chips..

Get in touch with @dennis63 of Key West.

He's got the racks you need for CPC.

Not sure about them being bigger than 39mm. The trouble is inconsistent thicknesses of the chips. So they won't fit Paulsons or Chipco

My experience and opinion is limited to CSQ mold and stock design Rounders..

Thank you for clearing this up for me. It was me thinking/assuming that diameter was the dimension being referred to, and not thicknesses.

It was me assuming larger referred to diameter, but learned it was variation in thicknesses.

I am seeing this more and more as I'm realizing my taste in chips and wallet don't align so well. Think I'll end up starting to follow the current CPC mold thread, and custom group buys too.

I think I might be confusing you also.

You are right to consider 39mm the diameter of the chip face.

I mentioned thicknesses, because it's that measurement that makes the CPC not fit well in the Paulsons or Chipco racks typically being used. I have noticed within my own set, and subsequent add ons, some of the CPC chips are considerably different in terms of thickness. I have to actually swap chips that are used or appear thinner, to make the barrel fit, even in the Key West racks. Gotta use em and get them felted for the Key West racks to shine..
