At my weekly game, I seem be in a rut rotating through pizza and subs/deli meat & rolls. Getting boring. Occasionally in the summer I'll smoke some meat or do something else on the grill. Any other ideas? I try to focus on ease of preperation/serving and non-messy, most of my players like to munch rather than take a full table break to eat.

Something that doesn't need a knife and is sauce-free (liquids-free) so that it can be eaten standing, with one hand holding the dish and the other hand holding the fork.

Again no "finger" food, 'cause you 're not sure that just everybody is going to wash their hands before touching your precious chips and cards.

It all boils down to small boiled "cocktail" sausages and baked meatballs, with some cucumbers, carrots and pre-cut cheese. Everything of the above would still require a fork (among civilised people, that is).

I’ll do tacos in a crock pot, wrap up some flour tortillas in foil and stick them in the crock pot to stay warm with the meat. Not ideal for eating at the table, but street taco size are easy to eat in a few bites to minimize time away from the table.

Chili is another easy option.

Obviously, the early records were vague. Since then it has helped us avoid the "rut".

It’s a shame that you only serve vegan food :p

When my wife is not annoyed with me she will often make something in the crockpot. Those meals always are a big hit with the group.

slow cooker burritos
Corned beef
Chili/soup
Pulled pork

I know some people like to combine food with poker to make it a whole dinner party event. That's not for me. What you've listed is perfect for me, and the only thing I'd add to the rotation is hot dogs. I play poker for the poker, not for the food. I mention this not to sound like a jerk, but to raise the question, do your players care?
