Hey!
I have chips but without 50 value.
5/10/25/100/500
50+50+50+100+50 quantity
Is it okey to play home cash poker with 8 players, each starting with 1000 chips with minimal bet 5, but without 50 chip??

That’s not really enough chips for comfortable 8max play. You can try, but expect to make change all the time. And a 50 chip would not help the situation much.

You don't need any 50 value chip, having 25 & 100 value is good, we usually want next denomination to be 4x - 5x the previous value.

You have enough bank wise for what I assuming 5/5 NLHE from what Iittle information I can gather but a lot of chip changing along the way for 8 way poker

You are fine for a T5/1K tournament. Start everyone with 5x5, 5x10, 5x25, and 8x100. Use 2x 500 for rebuys. You can use the extra 25s and 100s for color ups to get the 5s and 10s off the table if you would like. Or just more 10s to get some 5s off the table.

Just curious, have you ever played in a poker game before? We may need to be giving you more advice than just “do you need a 50” or not. Are you trying to play a cash game or a tournament style game?

Regardless of all facts and context, the answer to “do I need a 50 chip?” is always “No”. This isn’t really negotiable. Regardless of cash game, tournament, or whatever. The 50 denomination is an abomination and a testimony to inefficiency.

even $50 bills are verboten for buy-ins!

Tell that to all german casinos spreading €2/4 NL.

That being said, no a $50 wouldn't make sense in a 1/5/25 breakdown.

I care to politely disagree. There is definitely a place for a $50.

We increase blinds during the game, and play from 8 players up to 3 remaining. Maybe it's more like tournament game

C'mon now, you know by now that the answer in all things poker is always "It depends."

@OfficerLovejoy gave an example with the 2/10/50 that's fine. My lowest stakes set is .10/.50/2/10 (I'm even so picky I like to alternate 4x and 5x so one chip is worth a barrel of the one two denoms lower).

Your core point that there's absolutely no reason to have a 25 and a 50 (or a 5 and a 10, for that matter) is certainly valid.

Sometimes the best way to quickly identify reasonable use cases is to use hyperbole to insist there are none ;)
