Holy grail of collectible casino chips... (1 Viewer)

So...if buy in is $100, that's $800. How do 4-5 players need to re-buy 9 or 10 times each? Special Olympics of Poker? I'm hoping the post was pure exaggeration for entertainment purposes only...

A lot of cash games run like that. Prob not exaggeration.

Who's sitting down to .25/.50 with a grand in their pocket and losing over and over and over...send me the coordinates, I'll be there in an hour!

Max buy in is $125 or half biggest stack. It gets deep by the end of the night.

I’m a solid 2/5 winner at my local public cardroom. I’m middle of the pack in this .25/.50 game. It’s full of killers and they’ll pick you clean if you’re not used to playing deep. And it’s mixed games. No holdem.

Sounds a lot like my favorite local game. Pot-limit, and same buy-in structure too. It's full of guys who play $1/$2 and $2/$5, and it plays about that big. Dealer's choice. You can technically call NLHE on your orbit, but you'll never live it down.

To keep it more closely related to the thread topic, we occasionally bump it to $1/$1 and play with a set of Dunes. (y) (It plays about the same at $1/$1 as it does at $0.25/$0.50.)
