Someone told me yesterday that ALL Paulson poker chips have a hat/cane hologram when you put it under a black light. I have a hard time believing that's true, but I guess I need to order a black light and see what hidden secrets I'm missing about my chips.

I tried searching, couldn't find much. Can anybody point me to info on holograms on Paulsons. Is a way to tell which chips have them, which don't (I didn't see anything about that info on chipguide)? Any history someone smart here can share?

Thanks!

Sorry to be pedantic, but that’s not a hologram. It’s a bit of UV ink.

And you will find them on most, but not all Paulsons.

Quite right! However, there are some chips that do have a hologram! For example, the Bally's Las Vegas 1992 house mold hundred: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/ballys-house-mold-100-single-chip.75648/ - the green circle in the middle is a hologram that says "Bally's" in 3D holographic stereo vision, like you can find on credit cards. You can see the hologram more clearly in the pictures of my unpressed specimen here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/errrr-what.74763/page-2#post-1532147

Trump Taj Mahal had a bunch of chips with holograms, you can see them here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/thre...lantic-city-ceramics.21578/page-5#post-400798
