How often do you host? How many sessions does a setup generally last for you? I don't host too often, so one setup will last me years. Thanks.

host ? Lol. Have a small group of construction buddies that don’t even use a cut card
will play twice a month maybe. Not typically at my house. But I supply the table / chips/ cards.

I like to bring sets to games I play in. Meet ups. Etc.

I'm embarrassed to show how many decks I have.

I love the Angel Club Poker, but damn, they are expensive! For me, Desjgn are the best value.

they gave me a discount when I bought the rest of their stock. Still not cheap.

but they make great giveaways :) ( @degen in Dallas )

I'll be the dissenting opinion and say that I was disappointed by the Angel Club Poker Cards. They look great, but they are way too slippery for my liking. As a dealer they shuffle and pitch like a dream, but I did have a couple of other guys misdeal because of how slick they were.

Agree with you on all others though. The one set of Piatniks you sold me are among my favorites. The Caicos desjgn bridge jumbos are my favorite value bridge jumbo card. Got any extra? ;) I have one set up that's already pretty dirty looking.

You'd probably like Fournier if you like Bicycle Prestige. Hard to find but there's a guy on eBay that had the Congress back set ups for $18/each. I will look to see if the listing is still up. They're available on Amazon and can be bought from naipeszaca, but both options are pretty costly.

I was actually very surprised by the finish of the Angel Club cards. They feel like no other card to me. They look glossy and smooth, but to me the finish is almost rubbery. If you take say 6 of them and rub them against each other, they sort of grip, where any other plastic cards slide on each other like normal plastic. It's subtle, but I have never noticed this type of rubbery feel on any other card. To me, I thought this feel was perfect. Buuut... the stretched suit look threw me so much that I never got them in play, so maybe I would think differently after playing with them, that is the true test. If people were misdealing with them, that is the true test.

That's the way they seem to me anyway, but I have never heard anyone else say this, so I might be crazy!

I like the longer pips on the Gemaco and especially the Angel. I like them for the same reason they stretch out painted road signs, they are easier to recognize when looking at extreme angles.

I like the big cards too. I am old. I can see them better. I never heard before that poker size are a no no.
They're not, but I do use bridge jumbo cards on dealer's choice nights because they're easier to handle for games in which more than two hole cards are required.

Anyone know the difference in flexibility between Angel Club Poker and Aristo Club?

Great question. Since there’s only one angel entry on the redneck database, I was kind of hoping they were the same. But I’m listening.

In the review it says its a medium soft and Aristo is soft. Kind of vague and flex meter helps. I like the flex of Aristo Club, but trying to find bridge size.
