Hi,
can anyone suggest a good source of information on history of chip producers / chip development / chip types?
On the internet and on PCF I could only find lots of small bits of history to be read and connected to each other but I would really like to start from a wider picture then specialising on the details rather than the opposite way round.

Maybe there's a book out there or a good website or a nice documentary.
Just guessing, but I can't find what I need :cautious:

Some help would really change my life!

I wrote a pretty detailed chip history timeline post here on PCF a year or two ago, compiling info from close to a dozen sources.

No clue where it is, or where/how to easily find it. It was a response post buried in a thread, the topic of which I cannot remember. :(

The Robert Eisenstadt site is the pinnacle of chip history.

also some good info on more current chips here:

When you're ready for chip specific information here's a small piece on TR King.

Found the post referenced above; was easier than I thought. I just searched for "billiard" with me as author, and voilà:

The time line only deals with US clay chip manufacturers, but there is also additional material in the thread about other chip types.

Precious resources and info I didn't know.
I will start digging into this topic.

Thank you all
