I'm looking to add on to my current CDI set (more pics here) and would like some feedback on the below:

5k-25k-01.jpg

Some notes to guide you:

  • Yes, I know CDI $1000's are tan, but mine aren't. o_O
  • I realize the colours are not standard at all for the denoms, but who cares? I certainly don't. I think with rarely used high denoms it's ok to break convention.

It's nice to be able to tinker with the designs on my own, but the problem lies in not having an outside perspective, so fire away. Thanks!

Rest of set FYI:

I dig these a lot, especially that $25k!

And I totally agree. Higher denominations can definitely be tinkered around with more to your liking.

Are these going on hybrids? Ceramics?

I would be interested in buying some of these. Ive been hunting for 5k plaques for a while and it has been difficult.

Planning on 43mm hybrids. It's maybe blasphemous to mix hybrids and clay, but IDGAF, I want some oversize high value chips in my set for a tournament I've got planned for May.
A lot of us crazy chippers say its blasphemous but plenty of casinos do it. The notable example I can think of is the WSOP main event. For the last few years when it was at Binions and it was growing bigger and bigger, they still used those gorgeous Paulson 8v’s for 25s and 100s, but used newer bud jones chips for all the bigger denoms. If it’s okay for the WSOP, it’s probably okay for you.
