Hi folks,

I'm a new member from the Bay area, by way of North Carolina. I used to play poker all the time when I was in college and had the obligatory set of dice chips because it was all that I could afford. For a while afterward, I tried to collect nicer chips, but never really got a full set together and they have been gathering dust. Recently however, my wife decided that she really wants to learn how to play poker, so I'm digging out all the old stuff and came across this forum. It got me thinking of maybe trying to put some effort into building up a nice Paulson set.

I'm looking forward to sliding into poker chip addiction with you all.

Welcome! Wish I could get my wife interested in the game, that's great!

Then again, who would watch the kids when I host games if she wanted to play  :ROFLMAO:

Welcome to the best addicting... I mean, collecting site ever...

May your wallet be empty and your CHIP racks be full..

Welcome aboard!

I work in Mountain View, commuting from the East Bay.

If your wife is interested in poker, that's a huge boon to scratch Paulson itches. :)

Very nice. Welcome!

It might take less effort than you think to build a nice Paulson set. Seeing your location reminded me of a recent set for sale in the classifieds with California colors (if you didn't know already, casinos there typically have red $0.25s, blue $1s, yellow $5s, black $20s, & white $100s, with some variations). If I may be so bold to post a link here, I don't think the seller would mind. https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/huntington-park-set-paulson.22604/

@AWenger Thanks for the info. The challenge for me will probably be that I will have a hard time convincing my wife to spend money on poker chips :D. I may need to scour the forums for a while... I have patience though!

Welcome to the forum. I've had a chance to work in the Bay area a few times and always enjoyed it!
