Hi all,
I'm very new to poker and am just getting started. The rumor in the family is that my Grandfather made custom shirts for Billy Binion and used to play with those really old school guys. French cuff shirts with cufflinks and cigars and boots (he was from east Texas).
So now, way later in my life (I'm about to be 60!), I've decided I should learn about this game. I've just started studying. Looking for ideas as to how best to learn.
Meantime, I love all the things that go with poker - the chips are my current fascination. Dealer buttons, tables, speed cloth.. Really anything might catch my interest.
I watched Adam Savages one day build of his poker table and that has me thinking I should do something similar. And I loved his Teddy KGB chip carrier.
I'm on the lookout for anything Rounders related as a result of liking the movie so much. Got my 20 yr old daughter to watch with me and now she wants to learn to play too.
Anyway - good to see you guys. Feel free to point me in the direction of good beginner training and any rounders related chips / buttons etc.
Thanks!
