Hi everyone I'm asking about some designs for a new cash game set. My major ask is are these inlay designs to busy? Are they going to show the smaller details? I believe I read on here that fonts smaller than 6 are not able to be read. Any help, suggestions and info would be greatly appreciated. Go easy on this newbie...

Hello and welcome!

Your quickest test: print out your designs so that they are 7/8" diameter. Hold it arms length away from your eyes, and judge whether you can make out the details and if the denom marking is clear. If the answer is no, you will need to do some tweaking.

Note: there is no law that says you need to have the same inlay design on both sides of the chip.

Welcome! I like the design, but the placement of the denom seems off imo. Why not place it in the middle of the tree? The color of the denom might be a little dark..

I agree. A little busy with all the shades and fades. Maybe try just an outline of the oak, move the denom inside the oak shape, remove some of the outer circles and simplify the font bevels.

looks good but the denomination throws me off. Bsteck makes a good point about having the tree be an outline or a solid color. I would move the denom to the center. Or if you could make the Tree and club name be the top half of the inlay and denom be the lower half. I really like the Tree and name of your club though, nice work.

Thanks for the input. I totally agree that they had a some denim issues. Fixed that( although the color isn't showing in the JPEG. Also, removed some of the fade complexity. Looks so much better now. Anyone see anything else?

Really liking the dissimilar front and back too.

These forums are the best!

Any thoughts...I like the idea of the large denoms being a more roudy choice of color.

Welcome! I like the design, I just think those gradations are a bit distracting from the type and tree graphic (which are very nice). I would take a look at a ton of inlays, including many casino chips....I think you’ll find most are VERY simple, if only for nothing more than clarity.
Some of the most well loved chips have also been the simplest.
