I got one for free! But it doesn't have a power cord.

Anyone know what kind of adapter it takes? If you have one, could you send me photo(s) of the adapter so I can see the specs? I know very little about electronics, and trying to figure out the correct voltage and size of the plug are not my strong suit. (generic photo borrowed from Amazon)

I have one from 2005 and have the adapter at home. Looks like same version though. I will try to remember tonight. Shoot me a Pm if I forget

I bought this power supply but between the voltage selector/polarity options, and not wanting to fry it, I’m hesitant to fiddle with it.

There’s also a non-zero chance that the unit itself doesn’t work, although the person said it does and they just couldn’t find the adapter.

It operates at 5V - so I would set your universal adapter to somewhere between 4.5 - 6, center positive. I bet it will be just fine as long as the unit itself still functions.

This worked! The plot thickens, though, as I’m now getting some sort of error message. Button mashing/holding for a few seconds doesn’t do anything either. Hmm...

It's a 110/240 volt adapter. Not sure on the size of the male plug, but you can typically buy a universal one which has multiple different sizes which you can change out depending on the device.

Feels like I have like seventeen different adapters which look like the one in the picture, each slightly different...

This was the kind of thing for which I loved Radio Shack. You could go in and actually make sure you got the right plug/adapter. Miss it.

I have two big boxes full of random plugs and adapters and cords which now I feel I can’t throw out, for just this reason.

I tried, many times, to customize and use Poker Genie for my weekly tournaments but eventually just gave up. There are far better options online for free these days. It's just not worth the hassle (and the small type face makes it hard for players to actually see even if you do get it working properly).

Got it working! The trick was to hold the red AND green buttons down while plugging it in to do a reset. I put in my chipset and the results were a little wonky (4/4/1/4/1 breakdown for a 20 player 10k starting stack lol) but I’ll mess with the custom settings for my preferred default structure and leave it alone. Thank you everyone, including @jpietrella!

If you want more than one blind schedule, just enter the first one (rounds 1-15) then the second one (rounds 16-30). You can always start your tourney on round 1 or 16. Or, but a couple more genies!
