Help Me Take the First Step Into the Abyss (3 Viewers)

Welcome to PCF @merkong. Are you overwhelmed yet?!?

In terms of high end plastics, there are many options. I'm very happy with mine produced by Bud Jones (specifically Big Easy Casino). I'm sure you could find a seller willing to part with a few for under a $1/chip.

Although I have other sets to use when I host, I consider my Big Easy set my "travel set" or my "loaner set" as plastics are more durable and I wouldn't be gutted if a chip got "lost".

Thanks again for these @allforcharity @Himewad. I still love and use these!

But if you want nice Paulson sets that tickle your fancy, you either lay down $1K (and 'that's' minimum) to $4K (or more, much more...) or start collecting racks or barrels as they come up on the classifieds forum. For me, that's cheaper (as least on an order by order basis  ) and more fun to see what member want to sell or buy or trade.
This is the way

You like, own an oil field or something right?

I’m literally an unemployed, middle aged, bald, addict who dropped out of college and my beard has more gray than anything else.

Don’t listen to ANYTHING I say. Ever.

Except my poker chip advice. Buy them. Now. Whichever ones make you smile the most. Buy!

On a serious note, for errections lasting longer than four hours... simply log into PCF... I mean why waste it? I always knew I wanted Paulson clays before I even owned any, having played with them previously. I didn't need to buy samples of chips to know what I wanted as I had done much research and reading beforehand. I wanted used to want older, leaded, clay Paulson chips, period. I would recommend getting samples of different chips to see what you might like though. Prices of some things will make your eyes bleed (check out my Indiana Grand sec tourney set), so decide what you're willing to spend and see what your options are, what ever you decide is "acceptable" simply forget that because you are going to blow the full budget on your first purchase.... please report back after your 100th purchase and let us know how your bank account feels... and rather or not you feel content and "finished" with those first hundred purchases... if the answer is no, welcome my friend! You are in good company!
FYP... I mean.. What he said ^^^^

I can tell by your opening post that you are screwed! Enjoy the ride!! I have collected many things over the years and typically lost intrest relatively quickly... there is NO ESCAPING this hobby! Ye Be Warned!!
