Looks great, @ChaosRock!

What are the fracs?

The fracs are Rivers Casino Schenectady $1s. They were harvested by a good friend as the casino was opening their doors on opening night so as close to mint as one would get.

A little update:

I finally got to designing the labels on Illustrator. I'm planning on some color matching just like some of the chips that were in the table at the casino. I'm almost there, I think. The back looks good imo but the front, the side with the shooting pioneer (Swampy), could be looking a little too busy. I'm not sure. Right now the below is my status quo. I'll marinate on it for a bit and could change to same color labels for all chips, let's see.

Both inlays will be used as the original chips have different designs of each side.

Any suggestion, guys and gals?

@Gear : coming for you, brother!

Great design @ChaosRock! Two potential suggestions on the inlay:

On the "swampy" side, the inlay has either graphics or color fade everywhere except the upper right portion, so it feels a little empty in that spot and off balance. Considering the other inlay side has the denom, maybe consider removing the denomination from this side to help balance the design a bit more. Or maybe move the denomination to that upper right corner, shift the Jim Kelley's Nugget text down a bit and remove the location from this side.

Then on the inlay side with no graphic, I'd just recommend edging the denomination font with a black line to make it easier to read and make the denominations a tad larger.

All just my 2¢!

Totally agree with you, man. It does seem a bit empty on the upper right side on the Swampy inlay. However, that's how the original chip is. I matched all the other inlays to the original, since I'm keeping all the 7 racks of the original $5s intact. Having said that, I can always change the labels on all the chips (but the $5s), possibly. IT won't match the $5s but it might not be a big deal.

Regarding the outline on the back inlay, that is very possible, and I had already thought about it. Again, the $5s do not have any outline so I wanted to match that. I'll definitely try the outline here though.

Doh, I completely whiffed on the fact that you're matching the $5s.....

First up: I think the design looks great!

As far as tweaking, the Swampy-side inlay does have a bit of a jarring blank white space on the upper right. My suggestion would be to move a couple of the cards that are in the air (specifically the heart and the club) further to the upper right, so that all the cards in a row somewhat follow the curve of the inlay. Then, I think you'll have plenty of white space to move the text up a bit, maybe even expand the size, and then also increase the size of the denom.

Agreed! @Irish had the same comment. Here's my response to him in case you missed it:

Two racks of fracs are relabeled! I couldn't be happier with the results. On the below pictures the labels (front and back), they look a little more grayish than they are but it is just a bit of a difference in light reflexion between clay and label. The base of the label is still off-white.

Love it, I also drooled at Spinettis for the $5s, glad you made an awesome set with them.
