Hey Everyone,

I am excited to have joined PCF, after hearing about this forum through Christopher M's youtube videos.

I have little experience in poker, having only played home games with friends, however after watching plenty of both amatuer and professional poker videos over the course of this pandemic, I am eager to step up the quality of these home games with better chips, a proper table and then play more often.

I have just ordered samples of several different poker chips, and cannot wait for them to arrive!

Kind Regards,
Tim

Welcome Tim! Samples is definitely the right way to go. You guys play tournaments or cash?

Thank you, we play tournament games. I have yet to play a cash game

hi Tim

Canberra here. there are a few Ozzies here.

What are you looking for?

Geoff
Hey Geoff,

Great to see some fellow Aussies on here!

I'm not too sure if I want to go with at the moment. I am eager to get a feel for the Monte Carlo, Port Royal, and Ascona. Though I am also keen to check out pop culture collections. As a James Bond fan I'm looking at the Casino Royale range but I don't know if they would be good quality or more of a gimmick? I should find out soon because one of these chips is in a sample pack I ordered from PokerShop.com.au

That's perfectly fine! Definitely go with what works for you and your group. I like tourneys mainly because you can set the buy in the same for everyone and limit the rebuys if neccessary. Once you find some samples you like be sure to check out which denoms they have that are compatible with tournament denominations. Also, once you get to an ordering stage if you have any questions about "how many chips should I order for my game?" Please feel free to ask, we'll be happy to help if desired!
