I remember taking a spontaneous road trip to Winnipeg way back in 2006 just to watch a pre-season NHL game between the Oilers and Coyotes. Drove 1300km all the way there from Edmonton with a buddy, stayed 2 nights at a friend’s place, and drove all the way back the day after the game. Fun times.
