Hi everyone,

Greetings from the UK.

I have had a fairly regular cash game with some mates (NL 50).

As we head back toward the ability to meet up, I thought I'd look online for an upgrade to the poker set. One thing led to another and I ended up on this forum.

The whole angle here resonates with me, I look at the chips and I want them.

It's problematic for me, I know what I'm like, I tell myself I'll get a nice 500 piece set and be done with it, but reading through these forums...it doesnt appear to work like that...

All the best

It most definitely does not end at upgrading one set lol there are a few who can control them selves, but many of us have the sickness.

Anyways, welcome to chippers anonymous, I mean PCF!

Welcome @Siari1221 you are absolutely correct. If you have an addictive/collecting personality this one is just like drugs to an addict. I also thought maybe a nice playable "real clay" chip set would be enough. Would feed the beast and cover what we needed. After all I have had the same cheap "welcome to vegas" 14 g slugged set for almost 20 years and it wasn't a perfect breakdown but covered most of our home games! But it wasn't a real tourney or cash set just one of those thrown together sets off eBay. @FordPickup92 and I started playing again and wanted to get my family game back together, so we decided Monte Carlo slugged chips were cheap and cool looking. Then we found some 08 casino royale slugged chips and hunting the harder to find denoms led us to PCF... for the record we have not found any more Casino.Royale chips but now have 25 other playable sets besides the 3 mentioned above! This one can cover 80 people

We average 8 - 12 players in our home game!! Lmao

This happened in less than 2 years in this hobby!

The number including samples and other chips we have is much higher but yes at the bottom of the page it does say 34,437 and no that does not include the cheap slugged chips! Run while you still can!!

If the hobby draws you in like it has for the rest of us... welcome my friend, say goodbye to savings and any other wise investment plans you may have had. If have haven't touched Paulson chips yet I suggest not doing so, once you do there is no going back!!

If you ever need help with anything feel free to ask, happy to help! (Other than advice on how not to buy chips, obviously I am of no help in that department)
