Just a quick intro to say hi.

I recently found some of my chips from various Vegas trips and all the excitement came flooding back - I looked online for a site that I vaguely remembered from years ago (turned out to be Apache) and thats when I stumbled across this site. Really learned a load in the last few days reading....

It was difficult to get a good poker chip set in the UK around 15 years ago (all cheap plastic crap), and it was expensive to import them, but I am regretting not buying an Apache ceramic set back when I had the chance as it looks like they're out of production.

I've realised that nobody ever lay on their deathbed and said "I wish i hadn't bought all those poker chips" so looking for a decent ceramic set to build up now.

No doubt I'll speak to many of you soon.

Welcome, good luck in your search - be sure to get samples!
There isn't a huge amount in the UK but still get local ad's every now and then. Shipping isn't 'that' bad from the US, but you'd be best off with one large shipment as opposed to lots of small orders. My Paulsons are sat waiting to clear customs at Heathrow ATM, I'm already bored of waiting!
 
Hi and welcome to the forum! There are defiantly a good number of chippers from the UK and europe more broadly. Shipping from the US for small quantities and low value is a bitch but fortunately there are a good number of sellers shipping from within the EU.

Since you mentioned ceramics i do have a set for sale in the classifieds.. let me know if it interests you

Out in deepest darkest Gloucestershire... not a Casino for miles :( Although there appears to be a couple of good local pub games which I've yet to investigate. Just gotta wait for Uncle Boris to sort Covid out...

Be careful, here there are a lot of awesome chips :tup:, a great chance to spend so much money...

If you are looking for ceramics, there are a few sets on sale right now (UK & EU)
 
Do yourself a favour and take a screenshot of your bank balance as it’s about to get a lot smaller :LOL: :laugh:

There’s a few UK based folks on here and others across the EU. Best advice on here is:

1- get samples
2- don’t be scared of asking questions (everyone was new to the site at one time)
3- get samples
4- watch out for HMRC charging you 20% on any chips you get sent from across the pond
5- get samples
 
Hello mate! Good luck! I joined in January, preparing myself to host games all year then the World shit itself. I've since bought (and sold) 800 Dunes China Clays because I didnt get samples and now have 800 DDLM's plus 20 plaques and I built myself a table too. Just about resisting the urge to buy another load of DDLM's in case we suddenly start playing tourneys, which we haven't done in all the years of hosting games! :LOL: :laugh:

Welcome! Great to have another UK chipper here. Whereabouts in Gloucestershire? I split my time between Painswick and Cardiff.

Hi, I'm in Lydbrook, top end of the Forest... I know Painswick reasonably well, used to live in Stroud for a few years.
 
Any of you near Hertfordshire? I’m itching to get a home game going once this vaccine/testing stuff gets sorted. Have only left the house 9 times since March! My DDLM and new table need some action!
