I have been a daily lurker at Poker Chip Forum for a couple of months now and am officially hooked. I purchased my first set of chips based on many of the posts found here (CPC Rounders T500). Thank you to everyone that provided great information and photos. I recently hosted a family game. Everyone was amazed at the quality and look of the CPC Rounders.

I want to build a small stakes cash game set (frac, dollar and 5 dollar) and am considering three options

1.) Go with a custom set of CPC chips

2.) I really like the new Paris $1.00 chip and $5.00 chip. I am considering doing a relabel for the frac

3.) Relabel existing CPC chips as they become available for resale.

I would like to ask some people that have been doing this for a while: What would you do and why?

(I am leaning toward number 2 because the Paris chips are readily available, seem to have good resale if I change my mind and I typically fly into Vegas to visit family and could get some souvenirs to add to the set)

#1 is a great option, but there are some major drawbacks. Making a suitable inlay that you like and can live with forever will take a long time, not to mention the manufacturing of chips by CPC can be a very long wait. The other thing is that if you come up with something that is personal like "Bills Card room" you limit the number of people that might be interested in your chips should you decide you want something else. I think this is a great option, but it is better suited as a 2nd or 3rd set of chips a opposed to your 1st.

#2 would be my choice. All live chips are redeemable any time for face value in case you change your mind down the road. Paris chips are the bomb too.

#3 is going take a while and you won't have any choices about much of anything. CPC chips don't come up all that often and when they do, it'll be a 1 shot buy. You will most likely want other chips or more of the same & they won't be available.

Hi and welcome to the Forum....I can only agree with Nanook.
#2 would also be my option. I am also planing a micro cash set with Paris and or Boulder station chips. 10c/50c/$2/$10.
I will also be relabelling them in a casino brand. (because of resale, if I ever get tired of them, and because i`m really not a big fan of the personalised design stuff like "Bills peper pool poker club" (not ranting on any Bills here ;)).
Have you decided on the mold you will go with RHC / THC, or a mix

hi and welcome to the forum.

Option two is a path I'm on at the moment as well. Bought three racks of Paris 1s and also Ballys 1s which I want to use as .25s. I also bought a rack of Fun Nite Snapper at auction, which I will use as .10s.

Start working on your own CPC design. Iterate, iterate, iterate.

In the meanwhile, go with number 2.

When you’re finally set on your CPC design in a couple of years, you’ll know what you need to buy (quantity & design).
