I originally thought i had nexgen 8000 chips and was looking to increase my set only to find out here that what I actually have are Trademark Pro Clay 13 gram poker chips which are great as well (same feel/material as nexgens but with CASINO imprint instead of Las Vegas), but was able to find that out by researching thru this forum. Lots of great info on here.

Welcome from Canada also. I don't have nexgen 8000s but I have this set of 8200 Lucky Bees lucky bees. Staying on this forum will likely have you ordering something better even though the nexgens are still nice. If looking at chips I suggest looking into the Cards mold options. There are group buys starting often with some great chips of member designs and the possibility to make fully customs for great prices, also there are quality options domestically for a bit more with more addons potential

I had a sample set of the original top hat and cane Paulsons … gave them to a buddy like a month ago only to find out like each chip is worth like $65 dollars or more on eBay lol

Hi Big Mac,

Welcome to PCF

I once thought China Clay are make of Clay, big beginner mistake due to all those misleading retail sellers
Good to know … I was under the impression that china clays had a similar feel as the paulsons … but I’m hearing they still have a plastic feel to them like the dice chips … I still love the sound and feel of my pro clays … have the same hockey puck/soft rubber feel that sets them apart from the plastics

Did they look like these? If yes, these are Paulson “Classics” they are not worth $65 each. That’s eBay sellers capitalizing on what people don’t know. These are not from an actual casino, but rather one of several set of home game “fantasy”chips that Paulson used to offer to the public. They stopped selling to the public in 2015. This does make them a little harder to find and somewhat expensive. Not sure how many they produced, but I did here somewhere are 100,000 or more.
