Found this place while researching poker chips for a gift. My roommate has gotten very into poker over the last year and loves hosting poker nights. Looking to take it slow and wait for the right group buy or deal in classifieds.

Welcome. Open up your wallet would be my suggestion. Once you dive into the rabbit hole of poker chips, its difficult to find a way out.
My suggestion is to make sure you take it slow, buy the chips of yopur dreams so you don't regret, and have to buy way too many useless chips.
