Hello everyone,

I have been a lurker for several months, but finally decided to officially join the forum. I don't have a lot of chips yet, but planning on making some acquisitions quickly to get my feet wet. From what I have read, it's all about sample sets, and have been buying a few of them lately. The super great Paulson chips are out of my range for now, but reading so many posts, I see how this hobby and forum sucks you in and eventually everyone caves.

Just wanted to drop a note and say hi.

No need to break the bank just yet (that time will come later ). There are tons of affordable options for starter sets. If you let folks know a budget you have, I'm sure you can get some great recommendations/offers.

Welcome. Yup start with samples sets of the decent slugged chips like the Poker Knights or Monaco Casino. There are a few different label options within that price range with the same chip feel. If those just won't do for you then move up to the china clays like the Milanos, Majestics, Dunes or Pharaohs. These are just my suggestions of course. Have a fun and feel free to ask a lot of questions.

Welcome. The best advice I can give you right now, is to leave your wallet at the door until you are sure what you want. You'll make some bad decisions if you just start buying now. It's a marathon, not a sprint...plus you want to save your dollars for when someone is ready to let go of their set.
