Hi all,
My name is Christian. I am 29 years old and live in Germany.
I play some poker with my friends and visit also sometimes some casinos around, but they usually play 1/2€ only and this kinda high for me.

I have read now multiple threads and changed my strategy probably 5 times during the read haha. In my first bigger post I will go into detail where I currently stand and where additional inputs from you guys is required.

Really love this forum and happy to get rid of the dice chips soon. It kinda scares me that I do not have a budget limit and I feel like that is already escalating :D

We won’t be of any help here, we’re all a bunch of enablers.

Yes I already feel the impact haha

Will go in with a good price/quality Ratio for the tournament set. If my homegame is growing and we can have more often rounds I will try to get into cash game and with the cash set my money will probably just vanish

Good thing about a tourney set is that you don’t need as many chips. For a single table, 400 chips (or even less) will suffice. So even with a (relatively) moderate budget you can get a really nice set. Cash is another beast of course, especially if you want to future/inflation proof the set.

Yes I know. Currently I am trying to find the best balance between single table set (400 set) and the flexibility to increase to 2 tables ( 500 set) with a t100 starting chip vs a T25 starting chip. I saw the discussion around 12x 25s and 100s Vs 8x 25s and 100s.
I think my people also like more chips but I really think that I can go with 100s only but therefore buy more of them and have them for longer on the table. Also I don't think that a colour up of the 500s is necessary but will create a more detailed thread.

Moin ausm Norden :D
We´ll say it like this.
You now think that you don´t need that 500 chip. But do you really not need it? ;)

From a playability standpoint it´ll depend on how long your games tend to go, as the larger chips do speed up the game a lot. It´s not worth the hassle if it goes for 10-20minutes, but over time like after an hour it makes a huge difference.

Haha wie klein die Welt doch ist. Komme auch aus Niedersachsen :)

Games should last around 4 hours. With 60x. T500 I would need 6 T5000 chips. Our game usually tends to have a lot of rebuys (50% of the field). Currently I think it makes more sense to keep the extra chips for rebuys and let the game end with 3 different dominations.
Need to do the calc tomorrow. There was also a. Calculator besides the ppt guidance, right?
