Good morning! I have been playing casual NLH for years, but I am new to the cash poker scene. However I tend to jump right into hobbies head first.. so that is why I am here with you fine people - I want to accumulate a set of fine poker chips.

I'm currently using an old set of Unicorn chips. At first I was dying to "upgrade" to slugged plastic chips, but after lurking here for 3 days or so I have decided to hold off and probably grab some samples.

Frankly I can see myself hitting up the Classifieds for cheap, off-denom real casino chips just because I have never owned any substantial amount of real chips.

I have a ton to learn, so feel free to flame me as necessary as I bumble my way through the learning curve.

Happy Hump Day!

So you're one of those who believes Central Jersey exists......

Welcome from North Jersey (an actual real place)!

Smart man. You will acquire many. And then many more. Don't rush. There's so much to consider.

Hello and welcome!

I've got some Paulson sample sets available in Classifieds right now. All the same mold (THC a.k.a. Top Hat and Cane), but a large variety of colours. Feel free to drop me a message if you're interested.

Thank you, I will certainly check it out! I am understanding correctly that I should not be replying to Classified Ads yet as a new user? Just want to stay true to board culture.

The Mythical place of Central Jersey does exist. I live in this fairy tale land. But the borders of Central Jersey are always the contention.

BTW It is Pork Roll and Not Taylor Ham. You guys that don't live in New Jersey and don't know what a Pork Roll Egg and Cheese sandwich is need to experience one. Someone from NJ needs to host a PCF meetup so I can attend and other PCF'ers can come to Jersey and experience the Pork Roll Sandwiches.

Pork roll is VERY delicious. I met my girlfriend at college years & years ago, but she is originally from the Midwest and had never experienced pork roll. I took her to a local spot and she was instantly hooked.

Do you like thin cut or thick cut? I am a thin cut man myself.

Thin on sandwiches, thick as a standalone item. Truth is I don't really care, as long as it's on my plate.

I tried one at the Chegg (Long Beach Island). I had to order something else, as one bite of that sammich was one bite too many. :vomit:

They cut it pretty thick at Stewart's, and I went there a TON as a child so thick pork roll will always have a place in my heart. And on my plate. Ha

Sacrilege!

Yep -- everything from I78 (extended eastward along the southern boundary of Elizabeth, which we don't want) down to I195. We might argue a bit about the shore down to Tom's River, but that's about it.
:cool

How can anyone look at the packaging and claim it's not called pork roll?

Taylor is the Company who invented the Pork Roll and for some reason people misguided people called it Taylor Ham. This should settle the debate the company whom invented this delicious breakfast meet calls it Pork Roll.
