Hello all. I was happy to find this ".com". My story is short and sweet. Always loved poker growing up. Still play spontaneous games with friends and family. One year for my birthday, about 15 years ago, my friends bought me a set of Paulsons. I sat on expanding the set and oops, they stop selling to the little guy. I look forward to adding a few racks to my set and learning about what's out there.

Hi and welcome. I´ve always like those Paulson, unfortunately I sold mine when I wasn`t that interested, tried to buy new ones....ups... realised that they don`t sell them anymoreo_O

Welcome to the site. If you’re adding onto your Classics set I’m sure someone here could help. Check out the search function to get an idea of pricing (recent sales or wanted threads). You might find some open sales threads the seller just hasn’t “bumped” in a while too. GLWSearch

Welcome to the forum @wickedwonka121 when I joined I was looking for slugged plastic 08 Casino Royale chips and quickly found the 05 CDIs (same as your chips but a different inlay) of course I was obsessed being that Bond films more or less drove me into chip collecting. But I thought no way in hell I'm paying $3 a chip for some dang poker chips... unfortunately I found about 15 of the Blue $1s off the forum for like $30 and bought them... big mistake... I was even more obsessed! I woke up one morning to a listing from Hawaii for this listing

For $500... well it was "less than $3" a chip and I thought maybe over time I could grow it into a "special occasion" single table set....

This is where people tell you to be very careful in this hobby, it quickly became my Grail quest... all I could think about, and then we agreed to bring them to a meet up for a main event... again no idea what we had signed up for suddenly I was in panic mode trying to find every chip I could to cover the game... suddenly "no I am not paying $3 a chip turned into $4, $4.50 and yes even $5.50 per chip for the Arc Yellow $1ks... this single pursuit made me the poorest I have been since I was a kid. Today the set looks like this

Finally a goal was reached, a set that could cover absolutely anything at any size and any stakes... but it came with a cost that unfortunately is more than many brand new small cars.

So good luck on the pursuit of your dream, but set limits if at all possible, this hobby has a terrible habit of turning into obsession!

And if you are hoping to add on to your set of Paulson Classics, unfortunately the days of $1 - $1.50 per chip are long gone... you are probably in the $3.50 - $4 range for many of those denoms and possibly higher for the harder to find chips!

Best of Luck with the pursuit!

Thanks for the heads up. Your set looks amazing. I wouldn't mind getting that deep one day. :)
