Hello everyone, long time lurker (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone! I'm an avid poker fan and a long time lurker to this forum. I'm very interested in starting a collection of poker chips and finally decided to create an account!

Welcome

Don' jump into anything to quickly. Get samples, do your research. The journey is half the fun. Are you looking for anything specific? Tourney or Cash? clay, ceramic, plastics, china clay, hybrids, ect... lol

Anyways, have fun while you are looking around .

Thanks for the advice! I'm interested in a ceramics set (Aria GB?) and the next sale by The Chip Room! Ideally I would like a cash and tourney set, but I think i'll start off with just a cash set for now.

Just wondering, there are bunch of posts regarding chip harvesting. Is that for collecting or for use in home games? If they are used in home games, how would that work? (assuming only $1 chips are harvested)

Everyone here will say don't jump in too quickly and to buy samples. Eff that. The best thing that I did after joining here was buy stuff I thought I might like, get it in hand and try it out. Don't like it? Chances are there's someone else that'll be happy to buy it. I started out all over the place - I kept some, I sold some, I traded a lot.

Stuff goes quickly and you're.more likely to be left with regret about not grabbing something rather than regretting a purchase and wishing you had waited to try out samples.

When I say buy samples. I mean buy "sample sets". I like to get my samples 600 chips at a time :)

I use various casino harvested chips in my game. I have tons of fracs, $1's and a few $5's, $20's and $25's
