**All sold**

I've got 6 custom built acrylic birdcages made from 1/2" acrylic. Every part has been beefed up. These can have a cam lock added to them like in the photos.

These are $225 CAD. Adding the lock is an additional $45. You can see from the photos the differnece between a regular birdcage and the HD version.

I wrote down the dimensions somewhere but can't seem to find it. I will update later with the numbers.

6 available.

Old on the left, new on the right. Top and side edges are all chamfered.

Yes, though the smaller the run the more it costs. I don't think a 43mm run of at least 10 units would cost any more than this version.

Not sure, I'll have to check but there is some extra room inside when I had the regular racks inside.

It
Do these fit Matsui racks?

It appears yes, these will fit based on dimensions of matsui racks from BGinGA's post:

  • 223.8mm long (measured by rule as my caliper was not long enough and was converted to mm. 8 13/16 in. long)
  • 74.7mm width outside edge to outside edge
The inside can fit racks up to 225mm long and 82.5mm wide.

How tall is it? My shelf space has vertical limits that are pretty tight with a standard birdcage.

The one on the left is 11-3/4" tall from my measurement. Though there's many different brands and variations of birdcages so YMMV.

@allforcharity was kind enough to bring over some matsui racks yesterday to test fit, and unfortunately no, they don't fit. The racks are too long.

If there's any interest to get some custom size bird cages made, please let me know and I can make arrangement and have them made in a few weeks. I like to get projects done quickly. Possibly group buy-esque.

Would love to have a 43mm rack compatible bird cage, but probably not for $200+. I understand economies of scale, but there's also a law of diminishing returns on utility vs cost.

I'm sure I can get costs lower than $200 depending on the design. These ones are specifically made with 1/2" acrylic which is probably overkill, but for a casino they need the sturdiness. I wouldn't go any lower than 3/8" thick though otherwise then they're just the same as any other fragile birdcage.

3/8" would cut down the costs quite a bit. Larger volumes would as well.

I literally just paid a visit to the Chanman!

I went to buy racks. I had no prior intention to buy a birdcage. However, as I walked into the shop, low and behold, a heavy duty birdcage was just sitting there. *nice sales pitch Tony;)* joking:sneaky:

I recently sold my birdcage full of Yin Yang branded plastics. I never like it anyways...it always felt underbuilt when actually carrying 1000 chips.

Now that I've purchased and posted about humidor style cases, I thought, what if I did need to travel with my chippies? What if I just wanted them to be on display? Valid questions.

The moment I laid a hand on these units that Tony has....WOW! They are expensive...but built a cut above anything else I've seen. Thick acrylic and a sturdy handle easily handles the chips. I'll post up some birdcage pr0n tomorrow!

If anyone is on the fence for one of these...or unhappy with your present flimsy birdcage, this unit is pretty stellar!

EDIT : added some pr0n

R these all sold? Looking for a good 1000 count bird cage.

Possibly more in the future. Right now there's someone else who is working on fabricating new birdcages which can also fit octagonal racks that fit larger chips. I'm going to let that go ahead first, I don't want to step on any toes.
