Heading to Playground in Montreal (1 Viewer)

1/2 at casino Montreal certainly has less grindy hoodie wearing nits. They've been replaced with retirees. Less booze but still fun game. in for $400.

Looking out fot RDV decks.

They gave me $5 im free play and won $40.

I was ready to eat thinking "buffet is on them"... It's$53!!

Not doing it. Got some wings.

yikes.

Transit has been great in town so far. Should be at the Bell Center in 10 min.

pro tip: if you're using Google maps to navigate the subway, take a screenshot of the route, since you'll have no service in the subway.

Great show. Ended up successfully taking transit home instead of going by cab, which was my intention.

Crashed for 7hrs. Now, where to play.

I really like the vibe at casino Montreal so I'll likely play there today, then playground tomorrow.

Also, I'd like to check out more tourist stuff in town. Like dat big ass Ferris Wheel.

The RDV decks seem hard to find. Poker room mgr said they had a machine that dispenses old decks, but said they were out.

I'll try again today.

Found a game store near by that was selling these... https://www.piatnik.com/en/games/playing-cards/poker/100-plastic-poker-double

for $35 cdn.

looks to be 4 pip. also, doesn't seem to be a great deal either.

Was playing 1/2 at Casino. In for $400 out for $255.

Had reservations at buffet at 5 but an alarm goes off (not a Jackpot, lol) just as i cash out.

They start evacuating people.

5 min into evac, they announce that gambling can resume.

Reservation delayed by 30.

Cold...

If you bought them based in my representation, I'll take them...if you haven't got them yet, I'll pass. I was looking for a cancelled paper deck kind of thing, but don't kill yourself tracking them down.

No worry. I'm not going out of my way.

Also, these are English. Normal ass Piatnik or what ever. Never used em.

May as well try keno.

(won half my money back)

I'm good at this game.

Been trying to lose this $10 for the last 20 min.

Piatnik are nice, but I have several plastic setups... Don't need another, especially not for that price.

RDV would be interesting, but sure I can find them online...

In for $200 atm. highest point was around $750?.

Thinking of leaving and braving the transit home.

Get sleep and hit PG for the ladt last time tomorrow. Grind that bad beat.

You can't leave now! The chip pron is finally starting to pick up!

Had to do it.

Their tournament chips are...Matsui? Same as the cash chips but with just white edges and a color matched inlay. Seemed to be white text only. Made them look plain jane but the colors are nice.

Their $500 cash chip is a wine colored chip that honestly looks like it belongs in a different set as a $5. Also saw their 1k chip, which was white and boring but didn't get any real close inspection.

With the cards being RDV, you'd expect the dealer button to say DONER, but it was just a cheap English dealer button. Evidently the poker room came after the Francaphone standards people checked everything over.

Here are some casino pics.

The meal at the buffet was great and so was the service. It's only $30 on weekdays so I said "eff it".

Crashed in the keno lounge after the meal to recover.

More casino pics.

Cab driver ended up being a chatty Cathy after I questioned the route he was taking. "Sometimes GPS is not as good as eh brain".

Then he expressed is displeasure with the police for half the trip. $35 including tip was a reasonable price to pay to avoid the subway at night.

Off to the Playground today to win that BBJP. :)

Had this at $2/$2 PLO. Now I don't.

It's been a rough Friday. Down $850. All came down to one hand which I may eventually describe but not tonight.

Alright. Here is how my last hand at Playground went. $2/2 PLO. 5 Handed. Im utg+1 with $670 approx. QQJ6. QdJd.

I make it $10 with one limper.

Guy to my left calls (attempting to recall the hand, i am now conferent that he raised. This is how I fucked this hand up).

SB pots it and only has about $120.

I call. guy to my left pots it.

Me thinking he didn't 3bet and just called my $10 made me confident that he didn't have AAxx and felt he was just trying to isolate.

I jam for less and he calls. We agree to run twice.

He has AA22 one suit. His suit dominates mine. Short stack has JTT7 double suit.

I brick out and lose.

Next day i head back to casino Montreal and donate $500 back to $1/$2, $100 on BJ and $120 on slots.

During the evening of my PLO battle i realize im getting a cold.

My last day in Montreal im full blown cold sick and can't wait to be home.

Overall it was a fun as f experience and I'd do it again, preferably with someone.
