It's Canada's biggest poker room with 70 tables and games running 24/7.

I took a staycation with the wife at the start of August and got permission for a solo-cation for end of August.

There's a few WSOP circuit event tournaments. I'm playing the $330 colossus and possibly the $660 monster.

There will be cash and possibly trip to casino Montreal which is Canada's biggest casino.

I'm also checking out a Judas Priest / Deep Purple concert. Deep Purple were the inspiration for my custom CPC set. The "Montreau Casino" caught fire during a Frank Zappa concert and Deep Purple wrote a song about it. I felt that this trip is my calling.

Poker has been going well this year so my table mates are paying for this trip.

I worked at home till 530 and left for the airport at 620. Flight is for 720. Gotta love little city Airports.

Following with interest! I was there last week. Definitely do Casino Montreal. Fish city and low rake makes for a great game! Didn't get to go to Playground because the games were so juicy. The cards did cost me some money at first, but then I adjusted to them. Don't make the same mistake!

Deep Purple is my best and worst concert ever! Perfect Strangers your was awesome! Sound was great, laser show was great, set list was great. Fast forward a year and a half to the House of the Blue Light tour. After telling everyone I knew that this was the concert they had to see, DP sucked! No light show to speak of and the only thing we could hear was Jon Lord's Hammond organ about 30 decibels louder than anything else in the stage. It sounded like he passed out and fell in top of it. My ears were bleeding. Only concert I ever left early. Hope they got a better sound man for this show. GL

Was considering crashing for the night but seeing how Playground is so close, though i should stop by tonight.

Hopped on the wrong bus, but got directed to the right bus and go there with little delay.

Gesus this place is incredible.

Game is kind of nitty. PLO sounds tempting but last bus outta here is in an hour.

Met at least 5 people from my home casino here.

This is great so far tho.
Worst part is i can eat here for free... I can get a General Tso Poutine with a cold beer for nothing and I'm on a low carb diet. Free Cesar salad with no croutons please.

I feel a lot of people here are grinding the free meal.

Still great spot.

Made it home safe without incident.

I think i slept. I spent 4.5 hrs in bed at least. I made some coffee and rather than offering a coffee mug my host said I should use a red solo cup. After explaining that hot coffee would melt the cup, i was kindly offered a decent solution.

Not a splash of Baileys either.

Welp, the view is lovely, as strange as it is to me.

That entire center area is just over grown and unmanaged. Shame.

This is a bingo bar that spread 1.25 per card bingo till 1:30am. I found out that this place exists by misclicking im google maps and ended up in here. It's a 5 min walk from here.

I saw Deep Purple at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit back during the Perfect Strangers tour. All I can remember is some dude yelling “Deep Fucking Purple” over and over while waiting to get in, and that I was impressed by the jam for “old men”. So awesome they are still doing it after all these years.

Cigar bar next to Playground seemed pretty hype so i stopped in last night. While I'm cig free since 2004, I'd consider a cigar if i was im the mood.

Might blaze up there at some point.

This place is on a reserve so... They named it Dream Catcher.

I guess there's a dispensery across the street. Might check THAT out. Could use some sleep aid.

Speaking of cards, Playground uses poker size copag jumbo index, which are fine, but the custom pattern they use with their logo on it, are incredible imo. I'll try n get a good pic.

Got to Playground after chasing busses. Got my mtt ticket.

Sitting at 1/2 for an hr before tournament.

One limper, I raise to 10 in hj with J8hh Three callers. One ip one out. Flop AA6dd. I cbet and oop player calls. Turn off suit J. We check turn and river. I likely could have bet but he's likely wasn't calling much. Hmmm.

So i showed down J8s, I'm instantly the wild one. Also, im kinda the chatty one at the table. Very next hand im dealt KK im pm. I open to 8, i get called by hj and co 3bets to 30. Folded to me and i raise to 100, and villain sigh folds.

8 handed. I open 600 utg with A4cc. Three callers. Flop is like Q42. One club. I cbet 1200. Two callers. Turn is 6c. I ck, mp ck, button bets 2100. I raise to 5500. Everyone folds.

I bet 2500. Well off raiser calls and we're heads up to river which is another 8. Well off bets! 5500.

I tank call and im good.

Later i play A4s oop like shit by calling a min 3bet oop. Flopped flush draw and wheel draw gutter. I call two streets and miss like a chump.
