Currently in the process of building my first poker table. I'm a low budget but I was able to get all the material at a reasonable price. I just need the suited speed cloth now but cannot choose the color.

For sure it is a matter of taste so if you please post pictures of your table with suited speed cloth I ll have real examples.

Thx!

I went real cheap with the suited speed cloth I found on Amazon and I regret it. The suits are misshaped and I didn't pick up on it until it was too late. I went with blue and it is too dark for my liking. I'd do a lighter color next time as I think it looks better when trying to take chip pics.

So moral of the story, don't go cheap on speed cloth, find it from a reputable seller.

I 'd advocate for (very) dark felt colors, reflecting as little as possible of the (supposedly and necessarily very strong) lighting from above, and letting chips do the job :)

I 'd go with either charcoal / black or forrest green

The following one is not SSC, but still makes my point

Classic casino green here. Easy on the eyes, familiar color. It looks aged without SSC, but with that it looks quite nice.

I think a lot is taste though. I recommend against a red, even though it really pops - the red suites look funny on it. I'd imagine blacks would have the same issue.

My first table build I went with classic green felt and a brown rail. A lot of things I would do differently now with this build, but I still like it.

Second table I built I went with black on black, which my friends all love.

I'm going to build a 3rd table soon, I think I'm going with the blue felt and black rail.

Black rail is a win, even though it shows junk pretty easy.

What color blue? Baby blue looks pretty sweet, but my wife doesn't like it for some reason! LOL.

I agonized as well and even asked my group of players which one was their favorite from the Texas Poker Supply SSC options. I got 5 or 6 different opinions on it. I ended up ordering platinum and it should arrive in the next week or so. I hope I like it!
