Anyone catch this guy on Poker Night in America (PNIA) last week?

It's been a crazy 48 hours since his episode aired, with him getting banned from Choctaw, getting his Twitter account suspended, and basically being outted as a total douche. UPDATE: Looks like he has a new Twitter account.

In summary, he sat at the $25/$50 game with Dentale, Polk, Cantu, Deeb, and two other cats. Decided to insult/yell over everyone the entire time, insults Deeb and his wife, then challenged Polk to $1mil heads up match, all while trying to get people to buy his f*cking HashTagKing hats. He quickly gets felted, then on a hot mic was caught calling people trying to reload (since he was unable to get anymore cash wired out of Canada at the counter). Then he comes back to the table, broke, and starts trying to pawn off his watches to reload. WTF?

Then, at 3am, he started live Periscoping getting kicked out of his room because his credit card was declined, and he and his girlfriend act like total assholes and he gets banned from the property (not sure if these videos are still available - I saw them on his Twitter feed, which is now gone). Through Saturday day, I know he had also lost a few sponsors, as some poker companies who were backing him saw the PNIA videos, and then started severing ties with him publicly, via Twitter.

Here's Joey's summary for a quick catchup:

Here's the raw feed for anyone interested:

And for fun, here's a video of him getting felted at the Bike:

I guess he binked some $500k tourney, so now he thinks he's the best. Not sure it's a good idea challenging some one to a $1mil match, if you can't reload for the $5k table minimum. #justsayin

Anyone catch this nonsense? Or am I the only one who was sick in bed all weekend and had the time to watch all this crap? :p

LOL sorry to hear that. I kind of wish I had seen it though. It was a beautiful weekend here. I worked for the man Saturday morning and then out in the yard the rest of the weekend. Didn't even catch a ballgame on TV, no need - the neighbor was blasting live sports on his 600 watt system 300 feet away for the benefit of all and sundry. Not a single noise complaint was lodged, but plenty of beer was communally drunk.

I have no clue about this guy. It doesn't seem like he is even trying to win on these broadcasts. But the only thing he is really promoting is his social media accounts. So weird. Guess he's really just an overgrown child.

However I can't help being extremely entertained watching him play. At PNIA he tried to pawn off his passport!!! LMAO! He is definitely putting on a little bit of an act for these shows. But it's been so entertaining I want to see more.

The real tell that he is a BSer is that his ”business card” is on cheap plastic chips. At least spring for the dice chips ma dude.

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I hope you're feeling better.

Stuff like this is why I don't enjoy watching poker on TV as much. Between the players that cover their mouths, and may go the entire day without saying two words, to the ones that think they're "the greatest", and won't shut up, I just finding myself watching less poker on TV. There's just much less meaningful content, and it's not nearly as entertaining as it was a decade ago.
I guess now I'm thankful for the yard work I had to get done yesterday.

Didn't hear the Glantz interview, but to the extent that Joe Ingram's characterization of Glantz's comments is accurate, I disagree. I can't see how this can be good for poker no matter the amount of attention it gets. It might be good for televised poker and specifically for PNIA, but until that attention accumulates into something more substantial that can outweigh the undoubtedly negative impact this will have on 95% of the population, it can't possibly be good for the game itself.

LOL sorry to hear that.

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. I hope you're feeling better.

Thanks for the well wishes, fellas!

Sunday was the peak... chills, aches, just couldn't even move. Was on the sofa napping and watching shitty movies for 18 hours straight (and checking in on the HTK fiasco).

Feeling better today, but staying in, sipping tea, and resting up. Hopefully I'm over this thing come tomorrow.

The funniest part was him trying to pawn his watches, cell phone AND passport just for some chips. Then he has a video saying he's a baller cause he's staying at a $4k a night suite

Shitty movies over the Rockies sweeping the Giants?

I haven't watched the game yet but I did watch Polk's vlog about the game and he discusses the whole incident.

In general that behavior is a major turn off for me. I've never enjoyed trash talk in any sport. I do like talking in poker but prefer Negreanu style friendly but exploitive talk.

Moneymaker talks about all his friends getting turned off to casino play because of the harsh talk from pro grinders.

He wears a watch on each wrist at the same time. Also, he DOESN'T EVEN USE HASHTAGS. He just @ mentions people more famous than him hoping they'll notice or something.

Why do I care. Ugh.

So... HTK has been Tweeting on his new account about how he's playing at the Bellagio. Then... some one called the Bellagio claiming to know that HTK is suicidal and needs immediate help. This is what ensued...

UPDATE: Turns out it was his brother who called in. Hahahahahaaa

I haven't had a chance to watch the clips yet, but is he worse than that Schwartz fella? That guy is just nasty in every sense.

Prahlad Friedman is for me the biggest w@nker. That "I just called in the last second of my clock, oh I'm beat., oh the floor person didn't hear me, phew I'll just shut up whilst everyone else shouts that I should be out of the tournament" WSOP episode, not to mention the repeated "I'm going to accuse you - INCORRECTLY - of not posting your ante, and make a big deal about it" episode (also WSOP? Not sure) seals the deal for me.

Some people are nasty because it works. Put your opponent on tilt, whatever. Worse by far are those who cheat and lie, and don't step up to do what's right when it matters. And yeah, I know the floor person gave him an out, and I've never been in that position, but even so.

It is pretty f'ed up that Bellagio's response is "Suicidal? Yea just don't do it here."

I'm now at the point where I do not believe this is an act, but I truly believe this guy is mentally unstable. There are rumors going around Twitter that he snapped after getting fired from his CPA job at PWC. While I hate buying in to internet tripe, this seems to be a logical flow of events. The guy clearly has something wrong with him.

And as if it wasn't enough to post videos of himself getting crushed at high stakes poker, now he's posting videos getting cleaned out at high stakes Blackjack at the Venetian???

I hope some one puts a stop to this... this guy clearly needs some help. And now I feel guilty even watching this shit.

:(

WOW! Where I play, you're allowed to say 'Fuck' once, then you're out. I mean, why do they allow this...? This isn't good for poker/tv IMO.

We need a douche list. So far, Ponte, Schwartz and Friedman are at the top.
