So, my kids spilt milk on my table, and it looks nasty. This is my RIO casino (seconds) felt. I love the felt, but want to get these stains out.

Any ideas on the best way to clean it? I’d like to not remove it if possible. I do own a steam cleaner, but don’t know if that would ruin the felt, padding, or both.

I tried using an upholstery attachment on a rug shampoo machine. It didn't work that well.

I had the felt on the table in my avatar for some 10-12 years and it was just nasty from use over the years. I had a brand new replacement from Rye Park poker(I think it's a polyester material) I installed recently and decided to throw the old one in the washing machine. Came out looking brand spanking new....so that might be a last resort option.

Same here. Mine was suited speed cloth. Washing machine gentle cycle, and it looked brand new.

Maybe a laundromat can steam clean it somehow like they do with expensive suits??

Any idea what kind of foam is underneath? One concern I'd have is that if it's open cell foam, the milk will have absorbed into that as well.

X2 on the upholstery cleaner / carpet cleaner for a first crack.

My only concern with removing it is that it has cup holders cut into it. Stretching / aligning it the same way may be impossible. Might try the handheld first...

Try spraying Nature's Miracle on the stained area first. Stuff works magic on many organic stains and smells. Just follow the directions -- it may fix your problem completely, or worst case, it will convert the milk with enzymes so that you can then easily steam clean it without 'cooking the milk' (weird, but that sounds really, really dirty).

We bought natures miracle by the gallon when our dogs were puppies. It works very well. Nowadays the dogs are fine but it’s the kids having accidents or puking on the floor. Still works great!
