Why can you have your phone anywhere in Vegas *except* at the craps table?

2nd edit - I get that maybe you shouldn't have phone out at certain other tables, but didn't see it enforced or mentioned once. also googled, didn't find an answer.

Google the "federal wire wager act". You'll typically see the most aggressive enforcement of this in the sportsbooks, but a floormam that's on his/her game will ask you to put the phone away on any pit game too.
