I keep seeing these chips as available in barrels and racks, mostly the $5's (watermelon) and $25's (lime green).

Questions: Are these "real" live casino chips, even though they are NCV? I have some NVC chips from Harrah's Laughlin that the cage gave me in redemption for a free play ticket. I can use these at a table for an even money bet (pass line for example). Could I use the Harrah's Cherokee chips for the same thing (if I were at the NC casino)?

What about all the chips from JACK? Are they real? Could you take them to the casino and play them?

Just wondering.

Thanks.

The short answer is no, you wouldn’t be able to redeem them for face value. If you’re asking specifically about Jack Detroit, those are chips made for a casino that never opened.

Actually, I was most interested in the Harrah's Cherokee chips and their back story.
Thanks

The answer to if they’re real casino chips, yes. Sent you a PM. They are not cashable at face value just like any other no cash value tournament Poker Chip would be at any casino.
