Happy Valley Poker Chips arrived today!

Finally some pr0n, but first a little background.

Happy Valley is actually a little town in Washington state, but it's also the name of the valley
in which Penn State is situated. Four of us in the family - me, my daughter, my brother (RIP)
and my brother-in-law are all PSU grads, so a PSU oriented set seems appropriate.

Actually this is my 2nd PSU set -- some of you have seen the Lion's Den cash game set. That
set consists of all 312 spots; Happy Valley are all 314 spots -- a little bit of symmetry.

I actually got the idea for the inlay from a cutting board my (other) daughter bought me
for Christmas one year. I contacted J5 at the end of 2015 and patiently for my turn in his
inevitably long queue. I put the order in with CPC in October 2016 and chips arrived today.

All I can say about the chips is AMAZING. I haven't found one split spot or spinner.
And it doesn't take too long to realize that CPC took the time to align the spots -- the bottom
spot is directly beneath the denomination. If you have the urge and can afford it, CPC
can't be beat for quality!

For those who weren't in on the discussion, the colors and breakdowns are

$25 -- DG Green / Dark Green (ordered 270 / received 281)
$100 -- DG Peacock / Retro Blue (290 / 296)
$500 -- Canary / Butterschotch (150 / 157)
$1000 -- Bright White / Charcoal (210 / 218)
$5000 -- DG Tiger / DG Arc Yelloe (110 / 119)
$25000 -- DG Pink / Retro Red (50 / 57)

The goal was to have a tournament set that would support 20 players in the typical T10000 tourney and also a deepstack T25K tourney. I thought I'd keep it "small" with a 900 chip set, but ended up with 1080 with "extras", "more extras" and sample set. Can't have too many chips!

Also, while I was waiting for CPC, I had Johnny5 put together some buttons -- Rebuy, Bounty and
Dealer. Sal at OWPS came through as usual.
Special thanks to @David Spragg , @Johnny5 and @OldWestPokerSupplies
Also thanks to the MD crew and everyone else that helped get these things designed and made.
And now... On with the pr0n

Hope you enjoy the pics

Very happy for you, but that does give me some intel that the H mold is still in the press. C'mon MD-50!

Can't wait to see how these turned out.

I have an add-on on order for my MD-50 set. David said he needed the artwork by mid-February, so it shouldn't be long now :)

Nice. Sounds like a set on the H-Mold. Lots of history there. Can't wait for the pr0n.

And selfishly this also means then that my Key Wests (H-Mold) should be coming from CPC soon too! (y)

They look awesome! Nice job with the whole set. Absolutely love the inlay.

Very nice, congrats and best of luck with them.

Freaking awesome set! And not terrible camera phone quality this time either :) Can't wait to see them on the felt!

Great set Dennis!! I love the retro look of the rebuy button, can't wait to use it IRL...
(Cause God knows I'm never going accumulate any bounty chips)...

Just met up for my first poker night in the Lion’s Den. What a great group of guys and gals. Had an absolute blast. This chipset is so very nice in person. A real treat to get them in my hands.
Thank you again for the invite.
Cheers,
Joe
