Just like Teddy. Now, after a year of lurking, I finally signed up as member of PCF. Greetings from Omaha!

I have been playing poker casually for years, but not that often up until the last couple of years. Recently, I have been part of regular game and I have been trying to make some upgrades…table with speed cloth, plastic cards. Unfortunately for my pocket book, about a year and a half ago, a friend told me that that chips existed that were even better than the " D chips" I bought about 15 y ago. And thus the spiral began...

I upgraded to CCs (Milanos) last year which have been awesome upgrade, but recently I was able to actually check out some Paulsons at a friends house (after over a year of looking at pics on this site), and now realize I have to supplement my current collection with some real clays. I am now trying to put together a couple of smaller sets of clay chips (tourney/cash) and probably start collecting some randoms as well. I checked out eBay from time to time, but it so much better going through a site with a community like PCF, where there are purists who know their stuff, offer fair value to fellow hobbyists, and obviously appreciate and take care of their chips. It makes it so much more reassuring for buy/sell/trades, especially when dropping coin like this hobby costs.

This is a great site, and I have been learning a lot about chips and poker in general. The guys I have dealt with so far through classifieds have been great (Brandon and Seeking Alpha Social Club), and I have been able to put together a tourney set of Paulson Classics quicker than I thought I would be able to. Good timing, as our "regular" (which was actually pretty sporadic) game is now turning into a well-organized league for 2017, further justifying my addiction!

Welcome! No matter how many chips you buy from here on out, you'll probably still be unsatisfied...

Welcome...newbie and long time lurker here...I think you are better off buying trading or selling here as opposed to eBay because most everyone on here knows good from bad...are willing to offer opinions and help...and are more reasonable in price...
