Dinner looks delicious! About to go have filet medallions, garlic mashed potatoes, and rice pilaf. Garnished with a blue cheese bacon butter. :)

Daughter and grand kids?

The youngest is my grandson. The other one is is half brother that my daughter is also taking care of. However they are all family

To each their own. Avocadoes, and the derivative guacamole, remind me of what you find in your kid's diapers.

We cannot have peanut butter at the firehouse, because the Captain says the same thing about peanut butter. Lots of good, healthy food out there if you can learn to distinguish the difference between tasty food and baby poop. Just sayin'.

I couldn't disagree more. Of course, I hate mushrooms. Wife swears by them. As you said. Each to their own.

I put a little lemon juice and oil on the Avocado's. Grilled them cut side down for a few minutes and added some salsa. Was a great appetizer.

Tonight my buddy is bringing over some Ribeyes (marc for the Michiganders). Both our wives work late. I invited him for dinner and he offered to bring the steaks.

Drink of choice tonight will either be Two Hearted Ale and/or Elijah Craig :)

and of course we'll probably play a little heads up .25/.25 dealers choice :)

Interested in dinner @ChaosRock ? unless of course your still sick.

Yep, still kinda sick... Although I'm starting to think it's only PWS, Poker Withdraw Syndrome...

On top of that, I have to spend some time home man... Been away for 3 weeks...

Ugh Kingsford AND briquets? Worst on top of worst.

Doesn't your Costco sell this?

I've cooked with a similar product and I didn't care much for it

I'm with DD on this one too - Kingsford (provided it's not the "Match Light") has given the exact same flavor as pure lump charcoal, using side by side testing of fish and shrimp (which I thought would be the most likely meats to pick up an off-flavor from the Kingsford. In lump coal's defense, Kingsford didn't burn as long (rather immaterial for fish/shrimp test), and produced nearly triple the ash. Since I have a decent sized ash-bucket, it was not a concern of mine. So in the end, It typically comes down to price, and Kingsford easily wins there.
