I enjoy being the host, so I would argue that all the facets (chips, table, lighting, music, chairs, etc.) matter, but only in an additive way. If you have a good group of people that vibe together, that makes 70% of the fun. The other are nice to haves that just add and enhance everything else IMO

Agreed. Nice chips and table with a bunch of douchebags isn’t the best experience. Nice chips and table enhance a game between good buddies for sure though.
