Good deal or not? 1990's tropicana ones less than a buck (2 Viewers)

I found an auction for 298 Tropicana $1s for $280. These are the solid white versions circa 1992 - 2000 (ish). I decided not to make an offer fearing someone here would do exactly what I did and take the buy-it-now price.

Good deal or no? Should I have tried to shave off another $50 bucks and taken the risk someone would snatch the prize?

Seemed like you can't go too wrong getting vintage Vegas chips for less than a dollar, but I must admit I didn't do my homework first.

Probably would have been worth it. Not the most inspired design, but good start to a mixed house mold cash set.
