ACR is americas card room
I ended up trying ACR.
At first I was a little pissed: I signed up a new account. A day later I deposited $100. A day after I deposited money, they informed me it was a duplicate account and had been suspended -- They moved all my money to my previous account.
Only problem with that, I assume they bought out another online site that I used a long time ago. Probably 10+ years ago since it was linked to an email address that I no longer had. So I couldn't confirm my account, couldn't log in, couldn't play, and they had my money.
I worked with their support and got it changed to a valid email address and I was able to login. Their support was quite helpful, got it resolved within a couple days.
So comparing ACR to Global Poker:
ACR is definitely more robust. It has a software interface that you install, similar to Pokerstars or Full Tilt that I used to play on. VS Global Poker that is 100% through your web browser.
There's definitely more choices for SNG's on ACR. I can play a $10 SNG compared to Global Poker that only offers $6 or $20 if you don't want a turbo. The SNG's last longer than on Global Poker. I've have a few 1 table SNG's that last close to 90 minutes assuming you make it to heads up.
So far I like ACR more than Global Poker. I still have some money on Global Poker, so will play that if I don't want to play for 90 minutes.
