It's been a long time since I've been on here. I wanted to know how I'd find a rough value for Paulson PCRs. I'm not seeing any in the classifieds or on eBay.
Any help is appreciated.

Thx for that but I'm wondering if there's a consensus on a rough value.

These are similar to the Avalons in mold and spot/base colors. I have been seeing and buying my Avalons for around $2-$2.50 in excellent to mint condition.

$2-$3 a chip?
For mint/new/unused chips, they would probably sell somewhat quickly priced at $2/chip. Might sell to a motivated buyer (not me) at $3/chip, but more likely would sit untouched in the classifieds for quite some time.

Their value to me is closer to $1.50-$1.75, considering market prices of competing chips. Used chips worth far less.

I've been on the lookout for a set of these.

I would snap buy them at $2/chip. For $3/chip I'd spend a bunch of spreadsheet time pondering denomination breakdowns and google time looking at chip availability trying to justify the purchase. Then hopefully the seller would drop them to $2.99/chip on a bump and I'd snap buy them cause I'm a sucker for a sale. :)

Seriously though... If you're looking to sell that set, shoot me a PM. Shall we start pricing discussions using BGinGA's experienced estimation of $1.50/chip? :whistling:

I haven't made any decisions yet but I'm considering downgrading. I get too stressed playing with them. Worrying if one drops on the floor or if hands have been washed etc.
I pieced together a cash set of Garden Citys and never felt such freedom. I enjoyed the game much more.

Yeah, @BSteck and I can chop them up for you at $1.50 a pop. Think of the weight off your back when you move these along to us. :ROFLMAO:

I concur. I have bought 4 nearly completed sets and don't want to use any of them in our regular weekly game. With the exception of a couple of special games, I have been using the Desert Palms CC chips. And keep thinking why am I buying and buidliding these Paulson sets when I don't feel right about putting them in play? This is nuts!

Cuz we are collectors and we are poker players. And most of us are a little NuTz!!

I have about 20% of my chips in play, 70% are purely collectible and 10%...I am hoping is my "retirement fund" since I spent so much on those.

You guys are crazy. Play your chips. If you are not comfortable using them, don't buy them and drive up the prices. The demand is what is making them so expensive in the first place. If you like them because they are cool looking buy a sample set and get into collectable chips, but for the love of all things holy, don't sit on a set of chips that is not rare just because they cost a lot of money. They are basically toys, play with them!

It reminds me of kids afraid to open their toys because they might be worth something someday. I can tell you I had a hell of a lot more fun with my Transformers growing up than some adults who kept their Optimus Prime in it's box on a shelf for 30 years just so they could sell it for $300 now. Sure they could buy a cool Lego set to build in their Moms basement today, but they will never know how awesome it was to shoot a bottle rocket out of a G1 Megatron!

Not saying anyone here is like that, but be careful, it's a slippery slope.

I'd go on but I gotta go, my Mom's calling for dinner. ;) /rant

...Says the guy sporting Dice Chips on his media page. J/K  :ROFLMAO:

But seriously, to each his own. I have 70k in chips so 20% is still 14000 chips that I put in play. I have a chip set in play for almost any game that I host including some games that I havent even hosted yet. And to put in perspective, I have friends/families that collect cars or rare watches. They spend 20-100x what I spend on chips and they keep it in garages or safe deposit boxes. I dont judge because that's their money and their hobby. (Although I would love to roll with that 100k Patek Philippe while riding in a vintage Ferrari down to the market some day. )

Yup that's them. But I have the first version T100 and T1000 and a semi custom T5000.

Yeah its a pretty unique set. The Original T100 used to be highly sought after, and the knock on the originals was always the dark green T25 which you don't have. You may be able to sell them by the rack to maximize your price, but Id say around $2.50 per chip for the set.

Yeah $2.50 seems to be the neighbourhood. Still undecided on what to do with them. I would want a tourny set to replace them but I have very specific wants for a set.
