Hi, I was wondering if these cards were good cards to play with ? I've always bought Copag's in the past so I don't know about those...
Thanks for you input !

The difference between these and Copag are; Copag are plastic and these are paper. They're Alpha paper which means they are much stiffer than like Bicycle rider back decks that grandma plays bridge with. They're also great for magic and flourishes imo. They'll last a few evenings of poker, or one hand depending on how heavy handed your players are.

I'd recommend most plastic or acetate cards for poker over any paper cards.

Find some Gemaco Plastic or Acetate cards and you've got the best of the best imo.

I actually love playing poker with paper cards....even though all I/we use is plastic these days...but I hate having to throw the paper ones away after a single night of action.

These are my favorite paper cards!!!

I agree they ain't bad. We somehow get a few nights worth of action out of these at our golf course game. I bought a case each of red/black Freddies Club Gemaco paper cards and I have used most of them over the years, and they were cheap! They are stiff as hell (that's what she said) but they have a nice big easy to read index.

Gemaco Alphas are much more durable than regular plastic coated card decks. I'd wager a bet and say they would outlast a standard deck of Bikes 7 or 8 times over. Do they compare to Kems or Copags? No, but they dont cost as much either. If you're looking for a classic casino style poker deck then Gemaco, Aristocrats, or Bees are the way to go. If you want to invest in a lifetime of playing from a single deck, buy some Kems. I have approximately 300+ varying decks of cards in my house and the only decks that have withstood my constant shuffles and card flourishes are my Gemaco Alphas and my Tally Hos.
