I've barely seen any Matsui chips in real life, but from the mock-ups I wonder if the white text on a yellow base might not be difficult to read. Try blue or purple text on the yellow base to see how you like it. Love the green on white, and love the light blue on royal blue.

I like the pink/red and lt. blue/blue.

I've been thinking of doing a Matsui cash set based on those sorts of in-zone color spots, instead of the usual contrasting colors.

The white chip is tricky.

Grey or light blue

These chips are 1.30/chip + 250 artwork + 300 shipping. Discount if you take 500 or more in one denomination than the price is 1.10

You really want to shoot for group buy... if you get 1000 of a piece, you're looking at a price of $1.40 per piece before shipping; if you buy 100 of a piece, it's $4.30 per piece before shipping.

So they charge an artwork fee for each inlay? $1, $5 etc? That's a bit excessive.

That's what I was thinking. $300 for each denomination? Fuck that noise. Not sure why that makes me mad but it does... :D $1200 in art work fees alone for a frac-1-5-25 cash set? Looooool

That's the benefit of using a different "inner ring" with denoms on the chip itself as opposed to on the artwork. You can use just one artwork file for all the chips (assuming you are looking at doing this as inexpensively as possible).

Love the 25, 1k, 10k, 25k. Like the 100. I find the 500 and 5k a little difficult to read the denoms, though. Might just be my eyes.

It's not totally unheard of though - historically anyway. BCC used to do the same.

Though Paul did run the deal where you could get 4 denoms (same art, just the denom changing) for one price. That's how I got my set (.25/$1/$5/$25). Not sure why he capped it at that number and I bugged him to add just one more but in the end it was what it was.
