I haven't seen this posted anywhere, so I thought that I would put it up here.

Are these from Game On?

What Mr. Tree has displayed there are the Chipco colors which GOCC primarily uses. Anytime you stray from the CMYK color combinations that those samples represent, "unpredictable" results may occur when using certain manufacturers. That's not to say that GOCC, et. al., *can't* produce colors outside the ones displayed...simply that sometimes more prototyping would need to be done when using non-Chipco colors.

Such as my attempts to make an aqua color.

Incidentally if I succeed at Aqua I will post the CMYK values in this thread in case anyone ever wants to use it. My first prototype, while not successful for the color I need in the set I am working with, also produced a really pretty aquamarine which I will share here as well.

Good to know. I didn't want to assume that.
Keep in mind the white is straight white and the black is straight black. John also has off white in my set and that turned out a little tricky as well. Apparently it can easily turn out to have a yellow-green tint.

how'd you get those color wheels @Mr Tree ??
I don't actually have them. Those belong to the preeminent community chip artist johnny5. He sent me that picture while we were hammering out colors during design. Although if you contact GOCC maybe they can sell you some?

I've reached out to them in the past year and they didn't sell them at that time.

@charlie96792 - It's also worth noting that every individual ceramic chip manufacturer might print the same CMYK code differently. In fact, even if you go to the same manufacturer for a reorder of the exact same chips you had printed there before, the shades may come out slightly different. I say this for three reasons:

1) Get color samples (if possible) from every chip manufacturer you're considering
2) Use them as guides/aproximations only
3) Order as many chips in a single order as you can afford - more than you currently expect you'll want/need, in fact - because there's no guarantee that future orders will be identical in color.

Anyone happen to have the CMYK equivalents for these? Apologies in advance if I'm missing that there is a simple way to convert them. I couldn't figure out what standard color code scheme those values represent. Thanks!

EDIT: D'oh, I see the PMS colors in the first attachments. All good.
