We're more than two months out from the premiere of Season 5, but the trailer leaked, so I'm already getting kind of psyched. I rewatched the series over about a month last fall and while it is more evident during a fast full rewatch that there were some drops in quality at a few places, it was still pretty great.

But here's the leaked Season 5 trailer:

And just because I'm still so so so glad the little shit is dead:

Having not thought about GoT for a while and having just finished The Wire, my first thought was "Wow, I always thought Carcetti was secretly a child molester, suspicions confirmed!"

Ohhhhhh Yeah. Wonder what will a arrive first, my chips or the new season...

I read all the books in this series ... believe me, the film is simply not able to convey to you all the events .. read the book ... it's worth it ..

I just recently got done binge watching all of the seasons. So I am very late to the party, but I am hooked nonetheless and I can't wait to read the books.

And if you don't like reading, the audiobooks by Roy Doltrice are effin FABOULOUS to listen to.

i read the first two (maybe three?) books and liked them, but i have a much too long "to read" list to get through the rest of them. i'll be happy watching the rest of the story unfold on the small screen.

That's why you need audiobooks in your life! You can listen on your commute, or while washing the dishes, or playing poker online, or raking leaves in the yard, or while grocery shopping. It's great. (And doesn't have to be expensive...)

i'm not averse to audiobooks, but all those times above and otherwise when i might choose to listen to a book i prefer to listen to podcasts. i have more than a few that i listen to so they can get backed up fairly quickly. anyway, even if i did listen to audiobooks, there would still be a ton i'd prefer to the ASOIAF books.

Anyone planning on watching the end of last season in the IMAX?

I wish I could but it's not happening here.

I suddenly have a hankering to eat every fucking chicken in the room. And to Jack, you aren't missing much as far as the books go if you've read up through book three. I rank them from best to worst as follows:

3 > 1 > 2 > 5 > 4

So the next two books in the series are the weakest of the bunch.

Lol, why so much hate on book readers? I watched the first three episodes of the series before I started reading the books. Now I've read all five books in the series, but I love the show as well, and I'll take GOT however I can get it (book or tv)

This kinda sucks for me. I read the books first and wanted to keep it that way.

no biggie - you can still read the books first, but now you have to live with the other side of the coin and avoid spoilers from tv viewers.

less than three weeks people!

Yes, I had seen it before. There are some interesting departures from the book in there.

(Sansa in Winterfel...Jaime in Dorne)
